Originally from Manchester, England, Carys moved to Waiheke in April this year. Her drive to move to Waiheke was based around volunteering for the WRT Zero Waste Events project. After some time volunteering she began working on the Love our Wetlands project, having worked for similar conservation projects, the Bare Foot Community Works & Winter Dodger, in South Africa.
Since studying geography at university Cary's passion for the environment and sustainable living has expanded. Looking to challenge the disposable culture we live in by engaging and working with the local community.
