Prashanti has been on the Island since 2006 and is a mother of two young boys. She has experience in Project Management, Administration and financial reporting. With a background in horticulture, environmentalism and education, Prashanti is well connected within the Waiheke community and brings a passion for zero waste with a motivation to inform and encourage a circular economy through reducing waste to landfill.
Prashanti enjoys flax weaving and teaching others this traditional craft as well as running workshops for those interested in fermenting foods. She currently manages the Compost Co. project, turning local restaurant food waste into fertile compost.
