Take action at school

Schools are a fantastic place to introduce the concept of sustainability to the next generation. When children and schools work towards social, economic and environmental sustainability they act as positive role models for the rest of the community. Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders and they often make great teachers themselves when it comes to caring for our environment. It’s important that kids are given the opportunity to come up with creative solutions around how to conserve our precious resources and deal with waste in a thoughtful way. There are lots of things your school can do to foster sustainable learning and behaviour in students. Many changes will also save the school money and can be implemented into existing curriculums.
