Kai Garden Flourishing After Lockdown!

Kai garden herbs

As winter continues, our Kai Garden is settling in for the steady growth of brassicas and fennel. The basil that flourished over summer is going to seed but there is still plenty of it, so Centre visitors are welcome to take some home with them to add to sauces, salads or make homemade pesto from!

We have begun planting an herb garden in our third raised bed to provide even more flavour to our weekly Kai Conscious Café lunches. The empty pots are reserving spaces for herbs we still need. Our horticultural advisor Eddie is providing lemongrass and rosemary but we are on the lookout for common thyme and purple sage if anyone has some spare seedlings!
