We were thrilled to host a team from the UN Sustainable Development Conference at the Sustainability Centre on Wednesday. Sharing our vision of a sustainable community, making connections & sharing experiences is what it is all about.

With guests coming from as far away as Montana it was a great opertunity to showcase what we are doing here on Waiheke and engaging with a network of organisations from around the globe working towards a sustainable future.

On September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.

For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and people like you.

The WRT is currently actively engaging in 13 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. We are really proud of that.
