Seedlings for Sale!

seedling

Our Kai Gardens volunteers have been doing some amazing mahi this past month, and the greenhouse is doing wonders for our seedlings!

Plenty of seedlings are ready to go out into people’s gardens – kale, pak choy, lettuce, broccoli, spinach, sorrel, cabbage – with more varieties like fennel, coriander and tomatillos soon to come! The team has been hard at work sowing more summer seeds like capsicum and cucumbers, and pricking out dozens of heirloom tomatoes.

We are still on the lookout for any 6-seed punnets! If you have any spare or old ones, please don’t recycle them: give them to Kai Gardens instead.

Seedlings for Sale: There are two pricing levels for Kai Garden seedlings.

  • Community Projects (e.g. school and community gardens): $2 for a punnet of 6
  • General Public: $3 per punnet of 6

The price for the seedlings is set so that we can cover materials and still encourage gardening as a fun, healthy recreational activity. You can purchase seedlings at the Waiheke Sustainability Centre from 9am – 4pm on weekdays.
